Virtual Advent Kit
Welcome to your virtual Advent kit for you and your families! The word, Advent, means “coming,” referring to the first coming of Jesus Christ, the Savior of the world. But it also refers to the second coming that all believers are waiting for with hopeful expectation: Christ’s return. No matter the circumstances, let us remember the true meaning of Christmas and the greatest miracle of all.
You will find two types of Advent devotionals: Advent Spiral with readings (w/ an alternative) and the Family Advent Guide. Both contain short Scripture readings and a small activity you and your family can do together!
Included in your virtual Advent kit are resources for your children, the Christmas Calendar Cards and Christmas Journal Pages. These are great ways to get your children excited for Christmas and get more of God’s Word in their lives.
We will also post a Christmas craft every week that your kids can do. Please check out your virtual kit and enjoy spending Advent together with your families at home!
Family Advent Devotionals
Journey to the Manger from creation to the birth of Christ with the Advent spiral!
This is a booklet that contains daily short Scripture readings from creation until the birth of Christ. This is great, especially for younger children, as it helps children understand how the multiple Bible stories they hear are all related to Jesus and God’s redemptive plan for us. God’s greatest gift to us is Jesus Christ.
The booklet comes with instructions on how to make and use your own advent spiral using salt dough. If you do not feel comfortable with candles around small children, feel free to print out this Advent Calendar Tree (picture shown on the left) instead and cut out an ornament to paste onto the tree for each day as you go over the daily readings together.

Please note: The format of the booklet is set so that you can directly print it out double-sided and fold it as is. If you choose not to print it out, it might get a bit confusing.
Follow the five Advent themes: Hope, Peace, Joy, Love and Christ starting Sunday, November 29th until Christmas Eve, December 24th.
Unlike the Advent Spiral, this Advent Guide is a weekly devotional with Scripture reading, a short reflection and an activity your children can do together based on each week’s Advent theme. It also contains five additional Scripture passages your family can read together each day that week.

- Put the cards on a binder ring so your kids can take them with them wherever they go.
- Put one card in your child’s lunchbox each day.
- Hide a card for your child to find each day. Make a game of it!
