This week, I have been working at coordination! As the only ordained pastoral staff at CBCGL, I’ve been helping to plan and coordinate the ordination of the Mandarin Minister, Ben Tu. That service will be online, Feb. 6th, at 10 am to 11:30 am with a time for encouragement from 11:30 am to 12 pm. You can find the link to join us via the bulletin.
I also have been working to coordinate who is serving where and what they are doing. For example, I have spent time this week drafting job descriptions for the English Ministry Committee members. We have a number of DRI’s (Designated Responsible Individuals) who I would like to introduce to you in the coming months. But right now, I’m still learning who they are and what they are doing on behalf of English Ministry.
This morning, I began a list of English Ministry Co-workers, just so that I can keep track of who is doing what within English Ministry and beyond. As I have been populating the columns which detail the different fellowships and areas of service, I have been extremely encouraged. In my first 29 days as English Pastor, I have discovered over 30 people in English Ministry serving in a variety of capacities. In the words of Paul from Philippians 1: “I thank my God in all my remembrance of you, always in every prayer of mine for you all making my prayer with joy, because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now. And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.” Thank you for making this pastor’s heart full!
