Brothers and Sisters in Christ,  

             Normally, I try to limit this section of the News to specific events only once a month. But there is so much happening! I want to inform you regarding the following: 

            Our plans for re-opening in CrossPoint Community: 

  1. Friday Night Bible Studies are online presently but considering beginning a hybrid in-person/online format in the coming months. We’ll keep you posted! 
  2. Sunday School is available as a hybrid in-person/online format for both the older adults and the younger adults. 
  3. Sunday Worship is available in-person, live-streamed on facebook and Youtube, or available as a recorded service later on Youtube. We hope that you can join us in person! 
  4. Wednesday Night Prayer Meetings are online for the foreseeable future. 
  5. We are working with all the ministries of CBCGL to consider how we can share space as we re-gather in-person for ministry. Keep praying for us to work together in a way that displays the sacrificial love and patience of our Lord Jesus Christ. 
     

Tonight: you can join the Friday Night Bible Study (details below). You also are welcome to join the Mandarin congregation as they host our brother Rick Bell. He’ll be sharing in English. Here is the zoom information for that meeting which begins at 7:30:

            Note: He will be sharing in the CrossPoint Community Worship Service on Sunday, September 12th. So if you can’t make it to the sharing tonight, you can still hear from our brother on Sunday! 

            On Sunday, September 19, you can attend the baptism service in the main Sanctuary (Bldg B) at 1:30 pm. You are also welcome to join the panel discussion hosted by the Ladies Fellowship in the Cantonese Sanctuary (Bldg A) at 2 pm. 

            Finally, Save the Date: October 3rd, during the Sunday School Hour, CrossPoint Community will have its’ first town hall meeting as “CrossPoint Community – A Ministry of CBCGL.” We look forward to seeing you there!

2. CrossPoint Community Sunday School and YAs Sunday School – on September 12 – is meeting in-person / and Online at 9:45 am. 

      1. The Young Adults will be meeting at 9:45 am (in-person and online)! Studying the Gospel of John and taking time for Scripture recitation. Info is found on the YAs Teams Chat Channel or in the Facebook Messenger chat for the Teams Meeting Link. 
      2. The “A Guide to Christian Beliefs ” Sunday School is this Sunday in-person (Room A-216) and online via the following link:

Administration / Events

4. CBCGL’s COVID-19 waiver form has been updated. If you haven’t completed a waiver, please do so. The updated waiver can be found at http://bit.ly/cbcgl-covid19-waiver. You are required to have completed this form and follow its guidance if you plan to participate in any in-person church activities. Note: there is updated guidance from the COVID taskforce. 

    1. Wearing face mask is required to attend church indoor activities regardless of vaccination status except when preaching, teaching or leading worship service. 
    2. After international or domestic travel by plane, self-quarantine for 10 days before attending church in-person activities or follow state and CDC recommendations or requirements. 
    3. MPR room is limited only for no contact sports, e. g. pong-pong, badminton and etc., and otherwise pre-approved activities.
