Today we met the kids in Root Cellars’ Super Summer program, which includes students in grades K-7. We introduced ourselves to them and we helped them memorize Bible verses, read to them, painted a team banner, and supervised them as they played outside. The kids were so welcoming to us and especially grateful for the used bikes and equipment we provided. We used the extended devotion time after dinner to reflect on how we saw God during our day. During our devotions at a local park, a powerful moment involved worshiping on a bridge and praying for a man we heard continuously groaning by the riverbank. We feel Root Cellar shares similarities with BP but note a deeper connection and engagement to service among the youth this year. Please pray for us to have the energy and strength tomorrow as we teach English conversation classes to adults in the morning and take the kids swimming in the afternoon. Pray that god will open the hearts of those who do not know him, and that we can plant the seeds for a relationship with God.

Nathan Tan
